Last summer, Sarlo "suffered a medical emergency" that "caused an unexpected financial hardship for him and his wife," an announcement for the gathering said.
The fundraiser is scheduled to run from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and will be held at the Mahopac Inn, which is located at 927 South Lake Boulevard in Mahopac.
The event flyer notes that Sarlo's wife, Dawn, is a Mahopac Falls firefighter and that they married in 2006.
"Joe often tells his close friends that Dawn is his rock and that he is the luckiest man in the world," the announcement states.
